1.Chaotic greetings from Perú,Myke! How going the things in Vitriolic Response?
His David thanks so much for the interest in Vitriolic Response, I’m afraid at the moment we things have been quiet on the Vitriolic Response front lately, our Drummer and second guitarist left the band a few months ago. We do want to keep going and we are currently trying to find a suitable drummer.
2.Tell us how is form this destructive band from d-beat crust called Vitriolic Response? How’s been the begings?
Vitriolic Response started in 2012 with ex members of Poundaflesh, Kismet HC, Raised by drunks, Mass of Bastards and a load of other UK punk/HC bands.
Even though we all lived miles apart, our love of old school Crust united us to make the music we love.
We have had a number of line-up changes, but the 3 core members; Rob =Guitar, Flek= Bass and Myke = vocals, have remained the same.
We are currently in the process of getting a new drummer.
3.Official discography?
An alternative to Fucking what? 7”
Split 7” with system shit (Canada)
One track on the Chile benefit put together by Doom.
We did record some tracks with the old line up for a 10” however we could find anyone who was willing to help put it out.
4.Noisy influences?
Deviated Instinct, Antisect, Effigy, Rudimentary Peni,Age, SDS, Nausea, Icons of Filth, Amebix, Exit-stance, Antischism, Extinction of Mankind, Doom, HellKrusher, Cress…the list is endless.
5.Some members from Vitriolic Response have another project parallel?
Flek and Rob are in a new band called Dissidents, there facebook page is

Myke is also in a raw pogo punk band called Better Reality and a hardcore band called Salvo

6.Myke explain some more about the actual d-beat crust scene from your city and recommend some bands.
To be honest Manchester doesn’t have a crust or d-beat scene. There’s us and Extinction of Mankind and that’s it! And we now have our two Raw punk bands Better Reality and Dissidents. We did have one other good d-beat/thrash band called Tout Suit but sadly they have split (their guitarist is now in Better Reality). Manchester has a very fragmented scene, there is a big dub hippy punk scene, there’s a grind scene, a big old school UK82 style punk scene and a hardcore scene. But these god damn heathens do not appreciate d-beat or crust!!!
I saw Ratos De Parao (Brazil) back in the 90’s, VR played with Los Revolucionarios (Mexico) and Better Reality played with Agrotoxico. Personally, I got to hear a south American band on the Maximum Rock and Roll comp “welcome to 1984” it had Olo Seco. To be honest I do need to be educated about the south American scene, the only other bands I think of at the moment are B.E.T.O.E, Besthoven and Los Rezios.
I have some patches and I have a few copies of the spilt 7” with System Shit, I think that might be all there is for now.
However, I know that there are lots of copies of our stuff on discogs and I will get a new Bandcamp page up and running soon where you will be able to download our stuff for free.
9.Morbid future plans?
Once we get a drummer sorted out, we will be writing new material and we intend to record and start playing live again as soon as possible.
10.Last words Myke and thanks for your time in this interview.
Thanks so much for the interview David, it makes me feel humble that someone from the other side of the world is interested in VR.
I know that the south American scene has a long history and it is for ever growing, you have highlighted my need to hear more stuff! I would be very happy if people could send me some links to stuff from their area.

yes they are still with us and very good indeed with new members, so them just this saturday in the star and garter MCR. they were on second so the sound man made them sound duller tan they should have been but to me were still excellent.
