Interview - Fredag Den 13:e

1.Loud greetings of Perú,Niclas! How going the things in Fredag Den 13:e?
Hello! Things are going fine. We're currently booking some shows for 2019 and have also started to write new songs for out fifth album which hopefully will be recorded sometime late 2019/early 2020.

2.Tell us how is form this destructive band of raw d-beat crust grind called Fredag Den 13:e? Hows been the begings?
We formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2006. Actually only 2/5 is original members, but the shiftovers has happened gradually over the years so today's lineup feels very complete and we're all very happy with our position now.

4.Influences at Fredag Den 13:e?
Musically, our main influences has been mainly Swedish hardcore and dbeat such as Anti Cimex, Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem etc, but also a lot of Swedish and Norwegian death and black metal. And of course a LOT of rock'n'roll. Motörhead is probably one of the most important bands speaking of influences. We could go on mention a million more but that's not interesting.
Besides the musical influences, we have a political agenda driving us - matters of racism, segregation, religion and social injustice are a few themes that always affect us.

5.Some members of Fredag Den 13:e have another proyect paralell?
Currently only one of us is in other bands. Guitarist Jacob has a band called Tomma Intet which has little to do with hardcore and dbeat musically, it's more of a dark popband. But to mention a few other bands we used to be part of is: Seeds In Barren Fields, Painted Wolves, Penalty Time, The Process, Gust, and many many more.

6.Niclas explain some more about the actual d-beat crust grind of your city and recommend some bands.
Gothenburg is a good city for dbeat hardcore. For example Skitsystem, Agrimonia, Martyrdöd, Myteri and Anti Cimex came from this town.

7.Fredag Den 13:e  knows the d-beat crust grind scene of Southamerica?
No, we're not very familiar with the south American scene I'm afraid. We've been playing with many Brazilian bands in Europe, for example Ratos de Parao, and as far as we know the Brazilian scene is strong, but besides that we can't name too many.
I was on tour with my other band Gust which I left about a year ago, in Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile for about a month! We met a lot of nice people and did some really cool shows, but mostly with more 90s HC-bands, not much grind and dbeat oriented stuff.

8.Stuff avaliable of Fredag Den 13:e at the moment? where the punxs can find the stuff?
We've released our latest album on five European labels: Deviance from France, Everyday Hate from Poland, Alerta Antifascista from Germany, Epidemic from Italy and Halvfabrikat from Sweden. The easiest and cheapest ways to get our stuff to South America would be through their webstores

9.Morbid future plans?
Future plans is to keep doing shows, even though we're not touring as much as we used to. As I wrote earlier, we're working on a new album so hopefully we get that released early 2020.

10.Last words Niclas and thanks for your time in this interview.
Thanks for the interview! We hope we can come to Peru some day!!!
