1.Noisy greetings of Perú,Jake! How going the things in Paranoiac?
Greetings from Eugene, Oregon! Well, we just finished up our second
EP. We are excited to get it released, Our friend Tim Mansell from
Senza did all of the recording, mixing and mastering, we are really
stoked on it. Other than that we are taking a break from playing shows
until our tour in June with our pals Deadwitch from Portland. Also
taking some time to work on new material.
2.Tell us how is form this destructive band of raw grindcore called
Paranoiac Hows been the begings?
We started about two years ago in the wake of Dane and I's
powerviolence band Not Cool and Bucky's grindcore band Facing
Extinction dissolving. We wanted to start another heavy project, but
when we started we didn't really know what we wanted to focus on,
originally we were just going to play grindviolence. Over time we
started adding in more elements of doom, black metal, crust, d-beat
and hardcore. At the end of the day we all just wanted Paranoiac to be
as heavy as fucking possible. The three of us worked on material for a
couple months and tried out a couple vocalists in town before we found
Dominique. Once she joined, our sound pretty much felt complete.
3.Loud discography of Paranoiac?
So far we only have our first EP/Demo recorded and mastered by Jordan
Mustill, we're sadly all out of tapes at the moment. We did three
small runs, two D.I.Y and one through Flossless Audio. It can still be
found on Bandcamp and Youtube. We are going to release a remaster of
the first EP/Demo along with our second EP.
4.Bastard influences at Paranoiac?
We're all a bunch of music nerds. Dane and I really like the Talking
Heads, Bucky is into Mingus and Sun Ra. Dominique is probably the most
metal out of all of us. Some of the bands that are really influential
and pushing us right now are Wildspeaker, Cloud Rat, Fucked and Bound,
Savage, Hazzards Cure, Deadwitch, Senza, Family Vacation, Generation
Decline, Reality Lost, Impulse Noise, A Volcano, Entrail and An Empty
Room.
5.Some members of Paranoiac have another proyect paralell?
Dane is playing drums in a rock band called Against Nature, Bucky
plays mandolin in Brain-ake, Dominique just did some guest vocals on
An Empty Room's new album and I always try to keep busy musically. I
play drums for Broken Dead, my roommate and I are a powerviolence duo
called josh n' jake's band and I make weird shoegaze stuff called
Daytime TV Drama.
6.Jake explain some more about the actual grindcore scene from your
city and recommend some bands.
Eugene has a really eclectic heavy music scene. Most folks out here
that play grind also play many other kinds of music. There isn't a lot
of exclusively grind shows out here, last week there was a show that
had a grind band, a melodic hardcore band, a skramz band and a noise
band on the same bill. Some great bands from Eugene that we all dig
would be Senza, /root_DIR, Ausekara, Sacred Trees, Egotones, Ninth
Moon Black, Yob, Tolls, Iced, An Empty Room, Entresol, Maestus, Septic
Burial, Vallow, Cigarettes & Milk, Gran Rojo, Black Woofer, Minor Cat,
Xray Vsns, Rot//Woven, Silence Mill and Gash.
7.Paranoiac knows the grindcore scene of Southamerica?
We are pretty unfamiliar with the Grindcore scene in South America,
but we know its thriving and there must be some rad stuff, feel free
to send us any bands from down there, we would love to hear them!
8.Stuff avaliable of Paranoiac at the moment? where the grinders can
find the stuff?
Right now we just have our first Demo/EP up for free on Bandcamp, but
once we put our second album out we are going to be making some shirts
and cassettes to go along with it. Our Friend Albert from NO.inc made
us a gnarly design to use for them, so that'll be rad.
9.Morbid future plans?
After we put out our second album we are going to be working on new
material and getting ready for our tour with Deadwitch in June. Its
going to be centered around PNW Harshfest, we are super excited for
it. Hopefully by then we will have our third album in the works as
well.

1.Noisy and intense greetings from Perú,Chelsea! How going the things in Healer?
Howdy! Things are going well! We’re just coming off of a few weekends of shows around the Northeastern US and are back in the icy cold tundra called Buffalo, NY.
2.Tell us how is form this killer band of raw powerviolence called Healer? Hows been the begings?
Healer formed in 2013. There were a couple of line-up changes in the band’s early beginnings, but after a few months, the current lineup was all playing together. Eric (guitar) and I had played in a band previously called Human Touch. Eric also played in a band called Done Deal with Steve (drums). More importantly, Eric used to buy CD recordings of Steve’s farts (not a lie… some titles include “Back in Brown” and “Tunes in the Key of F”). We all knew Corey (vocals) from going to punk shows, and my old band, Coworkers, did a split with Corey’s old band, Inerds. I’d say we make a good team and I’m lucky to play with these people! We’re just a group of happy people playing angry tunes. It’s hard to even pretend we’re badass punks.
3.Discography of Healer?
Currently, we have an EP released on Nerve Altar Records which you can listen to here. We also have a full length LP that is not yet pressed to vinyl. You can listen to the full record on our Bandcamp page.
3.Influences of Healer?
I love listening to hardcore and powerviolence, but most of my influences come from other genres. Jesus Lizard and Shellac are some of my favorites. I love the raw bass and guitar tones. They cut through any mix and leave you feeling a little uneasy about what you’re hearing. In fact, these two bands got me interested in aluminum instruments—I use an aluminum bass now.
5.Some members of Healer have another proyect paralell?
Currently, I play trombone in a band called Mallwalkers—it’s 10 piece punk band that you can dance to. It’s not for everyone, but our shows are a blast to play and it’s really good cardiovascular exercise! Currently, Eric also plays guitar in a band called Green Slime, which catchy and heavy 90s-style rock with melodic vocals. They are incredible. Eric’s brother, Blake, plays in Green Slime and is one of my all-time favorite drummers.
6.Chelsea explain some more about the actual powerviolence scene from your city and recommend some bands.
Buffalo is a funny place. Our sub-scenes tend to meld together for a minute, disperse, come back together, disperse…. For us, there are not many other bands of the same flavor, so we tend to play shows with metal and grind bands, or straight-up punk shows. It’s all fun and we like playing for different people that might not seek us out otherwise. One of our favorite local bands right now is Yanari. There are lots of cool punk, hardcore, and doom bands here, but not many that seem like a “natural” fit to play a show with… that doesn’t stop us though!
7.Healer knows the grindcore scene of Southamerica?
We played with Test from Brazil in Buffalo a few months ago! Love everything off the Atropello Peruvian Hardcore Punk Compilation.
8.Stuff avaliable of Healer at the moment? where the grinders can find the stuff?

1.Putrid and deadly greetings of Perú,Dylan! How going the things in Rotted?
Things are going smooth (for now). I’m finishing up recording of the new demo which should see an early 2019 release through MAGGOT STOMP.
2.Tell us how is form this sick band of morbid death metal called Rotted? Hows been the begings?
I had some riffs that didn’t really fit with what I was currently working on, so I formed what I had into a couple of songs and that ended up being the first demo, “Pestilent Promo,” which ended up getting the name out there and got the attention of a few labels.
3.Discography of Rotted?
So far just the “Pestilent Promo” demo tape which came out in April 2017, and the debut album “Pestilent Tomb” which came out in January 2018. New demo on the way!
4.Influences at Rotted?
So many to name but I’ll stick with the core influences: Autopsy, Undergang, Rottrevore, Crematory, Gutted, Purtenance, etc.
5.Some members of Rotted have another proyect paralell?
As of right now, there are no other members of Rotted (though that could be changing soon), however, I have a side-project called Drenched which is a Cianide Influenced Death/Doom. Currently it’s got a self-titled tape out that was released back in July 2017. Working on some new material for that as well.
6.Dylan explain some more about the actual death metal scene from your city and recommend some bands.
The scene here could be better, I won’t go into much details about that, however. I mean everyone here is pretty tight-knit when it comes to the scene, but when it comes to the bands, it’s a lot of ass-kissing and holier-than-thou attitudes if you know what I mean.
7.Rotted knows the death grind gore scene of Southamerica?
I know the classic bands like Sepultura and things like that, one of the more extreme bands I like though is ROT. Ironic that I play in ROTTED I guess haha.
8.Stuff avaliable of Rotted at the moment? where the maniacs can find the stuff?
I’ve got some CDs left, and so do a bunch of various distros online but I think that’s it for now. There is “supposed” to be a “Pestilent Tomb” vinyl coming soon, but honestly I’m not too sure if that’s ever going to pan out or not.
9.Gruesome future plans?
Finish this new ROTTED demo, maybe do a split or two, and try and take ROTTED out on the road playing shows. It’s been an active part of my life for the past two years now and it’s about time I do something more with it!

Sidetracked is a PV band from Tacoma WA which I really like.

I live in a small city with no grindcore or PV bands at all. My favourite italian PV and grind acts are ANF, The Seeker, Double Me, Peep, Mesecina, xDelorean, Terror Firmer, Ultimo Mondo Cannibale but there are many more that don’t come to my mind right now.
7.Ape Unit knows the powerviolence grindcore scene of Southamerica?
Not much. Suggest me some good bands.
