Interview - Caca de Luna

1.Fast and furious greetings of Perú, Ingo! How going the things at Caca de Luna?
Things are going well for ous. Our latest album called “System” came out this year and we have a lot gigs planned for the rest of the year. Big and small festivals as well as some regular shows. We are looking forward to it!

2.Tell us how is form this destructive band of loud grindcore called caca de luna? Hows been the begins?
Caca de luna has existed for a long time…Bohne and me formed a Punk-Band when we were kids. Over time we got faster, faster and faster and formed Offenbarung in 1999 with Frank on Bass. Caca de Luna was kind of a rebrand in 2003 switching to a more grindcore oriented style. In 2017 Pieper replaced Frank on the bass.

3.Official discography of Caca de Luna?
The album “Schublade” (2006) was the first release from caca de luna and was only available on CD –  now just as CDR. In 2016 saw the release of the second album called “orientierungslos” on LP and CD. This year “System” came out, on LP only so far.
Additionally you can find some of our songs on samplers and compilations like ‘Sick music for your Guts’ (2017), ‘Grindcore Worldwide Comp. 4’ and ‘Short music for freak people’ (2018) and this year on ‘We hate Nazis Comp.’

4.Chaotic influences at Caca de Luna?
We have a lot of Influences. From Punkrock to Hardcore, Trashmetal, Deathmetal and Hip-Hop. But we like to play fast, short and loud music without effects and technical waste.

5.Some members of Caca de Luna have another project paralell?
Bohne the drummer has some other bands like Punkroiber (Punkrock since 1994), Crashed Mandarins (Hardcore). Pieper also plays at Crashed Mandarins and Hackepeter (Punkrock). Ingo plays only at caca de luna but he is the one who mostly manages the things, like arranging gigs, etc.

6.Ingo, explain some more about actual hardcore grindcore scene from your city and recommend some bands.
Jena has some Punkbands like Delirium Tremens, Sad Neutrino Bitches, Problembären and others. Hardcore is not really existing. The scene is very small… regrettably…

7.Caca de Luna knows hardcore grindcore scene of Southamerica?
Not really, sorry. We know Ratos de Porão and Brujeria and of course Sepultura. But do not know smaller Bands like us. You can send us some good bands to listen to.

8.Stuff avaliable of CaCa de Luna at the moment? Where grind maniacs can find the stuff?
Our songs are available on bandcamp. You can order the last two Vinyls and Shirts. Send a message over on bandcamp or facebook.
For you guys in Southamerica there is the possibility to order from Get Pissed Stay Pissed Records or Give Praise Records from the United States or from Scum Records in México.

9.Morbid future plans?
We want to create new songs and play good gigs and have a lot of fun with other grindcore people. Perhaps a new album, perhaps a split, perhaps a longer tour…we will see!

10.Last words Ingo and thanks for your time in this interview! Keep play fast!
First, thanks for your interest in us! Furthermore: the world is insane! Think about your consumption and your life. Grindcore is protest! Support the scene – worldwide!
