Interview - HAG

1.Noisy greetings of Perú,Agnes! How going the things at HAG?
Hello! Things are great, we just finished a shorter tour in Germany, Norway and south of Sweden a couple of weeks ago and play Malmö tonight in our rehearsalspace together with Rotten mind and Only the lonely. Tonorrow we take copenhagen with the mighty Danish Cesspool and S.H.I.T from Canada!

2.Tell us how is form this destructive band of raw hardcore called HAG? Hows been the begings?
Me and Sven (guitar) moved to Malmö, needed to play punk and dragged two other hags (Emelie on bass and Linus on drums)
along with us. Long story short.

3.Discography of HAG?
The first recording (S/T)  was released on cassette first, then as a co:released EP on de:nihil and imminent destruction records.
"Be my filth" was recorded in Oslo, Norway and released by Oslo-based byllepest distro.
We also have one song on the "no spirit compilation" cassette.

4.Loud influences at HAG?
Old hardcore music, dupa dupa beats, our own lives and minds, classic rock, 80's power ballads, madonna, kraut, black metal, obnoxious hags at shitty pubs, Merle Haggard and Dolly Parton.

5.Some members of HAG have another project paralell?
Sven has a thousand bands but we dont keep track of them so we'll just name the two we've seen him play with recently which are Ill fit and Non plus. He used to play in Agent Attitude and Piss Jar (I think he still plays with them sometimes)
Linus is a riddle and we dont know Anything about him or what he does during the days but he used to play in the great band Overdose and  a million other bands. He is a great at giving back rubs and playing frisbee golf and doing epic drum rolls.
Emelie is completely mad and just hangs with her kitten named Stickan. She doesn't talk much and sometimes i find her chasing rats outside our rehearsalspace. She always carries a pocket knife and builds weird machines in her storage space in the attic. She has a disco flavoured synth project with me (Agnes) and two random danish dudes from the band Cesspool going on.
I play bass in Axe rash and write sad psych-folk songs when I cant sleep. I will play bass with only the lonely tonight. Otherwise my biggest project is trying to keep my life together without going insane.

6.Agnes explain some more about actual hardcore scene from your city and recommend some bands.
Malmö has a lot of punx and is very close to Copenhagen which makes it easy to visit punk shows several times a week if you want to. Its an active scene with many great bands like Larma, zyphilis, non plus, slöa knivar, beyond pink, Ill fit, Knaegt, Hårda tider, Crutches, Snor, anhedoni, genöme, korsfäst to name a few! Theres a lot of raw punk and d-beat but also a bunch of post-punk, oi punk, garagey power pop and classic hardcore bands too. Its alive and kicking!

7.HAG knows hardcore scene of Southamerica?
We have seen many great bands from Colombia lately, there seems to be a very lovely connection with the scene in colombia and the scandinavian scene going on right now. I will never forget when Muro played at K-town festival and I started to cry like a baby because I was so emotionally moved by their set. I would love to explore the scenes of south america more.

8.Stuff avaliable of HAG at the moment? where punxs can find the stuff?
The "Be my fitlh" EP can be ordered from byllepest distro and we have one song on the "no spirit compilation" which I guess can be ordered from their bandcamp.

9.Morbid future plans?
Right now we are taking things a little easy but have plans to record some songs this autumn and write more songs to eventually make an LP. Loose plans on touring in the spring of 2020.

10.Last words Agnes and thanks for your time in this interview!
Sorry for taking forever to answer this interview. I'm just a mess. We hope to see Peru someday! Respect the riff and be fabulous!

Interview - Phrenelith

1.Rotten and twisted greetings of Perú! How are things going at Phrenelith?
SD: Things are good in Phrenelith, we’re slowly putting the final touches to a new record, that’ll be 6 songs clocking in around 28 min, so I guess it could be considered a MLP in some way. Other than that, we’re playing some sporadic shows, including a couple of festivals this summer and our first time in Japan in October.

2.Tell us how this infamous band of sick death metal called Phrenelith formed?
How were the beginnings?
SD: Phrenelith formed around late 2013 by three like-minded individuals, who’s sole purpose in life is to worship at the altar of death metal. A demo was recording and soon a bassist was recruited to complete the line-up and we started playing shows. Our beginnings were overall fun, since we were all trying out something a little new, even though we had all played in death metal bands before. Countless stories can be told about that time, but that’ll will be for a another time haha.

3.Aperrant influences at Phrenelith?
SD: Our influences are all our the place, but the core of it would be both old and contemporary death metal of course. We do find ideas and inspiration outside of metal, especially the lyrics come from far off places.

4.Do some members of Phrenelith have another projects, parallel to the band?
SD: YES! All of us has other bands that we play in parallel to Phrenelith, many in the same vein as Phrenelith, others not.

5.Explain some more about actual putrid death metal scene from your city and recommend some bands.
SD: The Copenhagen death metal scene seems very much alive and thriving, with bands like Deiquisitor, Taphos, Sulphurous, Chaotian and bands featuring members of Phrenelith like Undergang, Hyperdontia and Ascendency. New projects are constantly brewing, so I’m sure there’s many good things to come.

6.Phrenelith knows evil death metal scene of Southamerica?
SD: Of course there’s many south american bands we are aware of in both death, black, and thrash metal. A lot of good bands have originated from there through the times.

7.Stuff avaliable of Phrenelith at the moment? where maniacs can find the stuff?
SD: We have plenty of merch available at all times since we keep making new designs and new pressings as long as there’s interest in the band. Most of our sales these days goes through Extremely Rotten Productions, but our respective labels sell some of our merch too. The band can be contacted on mail as well as through Facebook.

8.Morbid future plans?
SD: We have the before mentioned record that will hopefully soon be recorded and put out and as soon as we finish that one, work on the next will begin right away. Other than that we have many shows planned and maybe a tour or two to a continent we have yet to play in.

9.Last words insane freaks and thanks for your time in this interview, keep doing insane and pestilent death metal!
SD: Thanks for doing the interview. DEATH METAL ETERNAL!
