no scene.

Max 625 Thrascore - Interview

1.Hey Max! how are you man? all good with you?

Yes, just very busy. I just moved to Vermont (northeast state of theUS) and am getting ready to start a new job. So damn busy!

2.Tell us in which bands you played and how you formed this killer label 625 Thrash.

Um, lets see. Bands: BACKSLIDE, PLUTOCRACY, SIROTA, EVOLVED TOOBLITERATION, MEAT SHITS, CAPITALIST CASUALTIES, SPAZZ, WHAT HAPPENSNEXT?, SCHOLASTIC DETH, BOMBS OF DEATH, STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, MINDLESSMUTANT, I filled in for CONQUEST FOR DEATH a few times. I am sure I amforgetting something. As for the record label, I started it in theearly 1990s in order to release good bands from my area - bands like AGENTS OF SATAN, NO LESS, GODSTOMPER, etc. From there I expanded mycoverage to international bands - but my interest lies with releasingnew bands that have good politics, good DIY ethics, and which playfucking fast!

3.Nowadays what are you doing?

I am a professor at a college teaching History. I still do the label,but no time for bands.

4.How you see the actual hardcore - thrash - grind - powerviolence scene?

Its good I suppose. There is a history now that didnt exist in thelate 1980s when I first go into it. At that time we looked to fastHC/punk bands, but once I found bands like LARM, et al, my mind wasblown. Now kids can start bands in the 2010s with a huge index offast/grind/etc bands to draw influences from. That is both good andbad....good since you can start off being influenced by great bands,but bad since many bands just return to the same chordstructures/vocal styles. >

5.Tell us what is your opinion about:

*HERESY: My favorite band of all time. Both early and later stuff. My favorite stuff is the split w/CONCRETE SOX with Reevsy singing 

*SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: First LP is great of course, but I could not get into their later stuff. They had a huge influence on the scene around me when I was growing up - all the skaters in the 1980s had home-made ST shirts  

*CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER: I loved these guys. I remember buying Convicted at a local record store and just being blown away. Not too many people liked them back then, but now, since they are from the 1980s, people seem to appreciate them more. They were part of a scene that existed as I was just starting to go to shows and write to bands - so bands like CS, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, etc - bands that mixed thrash metal with hardcore - were a huge inspiration 

*SIEGE: Fucking killer. But back when I first started listening to HC I never heard them. The only thing I had was the Pusmort compilation LP. I remember seeing them listed as influences for many bands - particularly the first round of grind bands, and it wasnt until about 88 or 89 that I finally got a 30th generation dub of their demo that I was like, holy shit.

6.In the future maybe you formed a new fast band?
Depends on the amount of time I have. Right now I am immersed in work,so I will focus on running the label for now.

7.What news in 625 Thrash?

Putting out lots of stuff! There is some great grindcore now, so I amexcited to work with bands like INTERNAL ROT, BLOODY PHOENIX, ROSKOPP,etc. Plus I am doing a ton of SPAZZ LP reissues, so those will be funto put together.

Dopethrone - Interview

1.Cheers Vincent!,how are you brother from hell?

I Finished work early, drinking some Kentucky Wiskey
and waiting for one of my buddys to come over so we
can work on the T-shirt artwork. (The t-shirt is gonna
be really fucking demonic looking)

2.Tell us how this chaotic band was formed.

DOPETHRONE started in March 2008 as a completely D.I.Y project, in the very core of Hochelaga (MT-HELL) Canada. We were getting really wasted all the time, and I have a jamspace in my house, so we started jamming the heaviest shit we could think of...
At first, it was more of a jamband that we didn't really take
seriously, we still released our first album with our former
drummer (Thomas Polychuck) cause he had a studio in the basement. But to our surprise, the public response we had was fenomenal, we also got a lot of good reviews, we were playing lots of shows and we were having lots of fun, so we decided to keep going.

3.Which are the influences from Dopethrone?

I would say our main influences would be WEEDEATER, ELECTRIC WIZARD, BONGZILLA, BRAINOIL, EYEHATEGOD... some southern sludge, black metal, stoner rock, blues... we are really open minded when it comes to the music we listen to.

4.The lyrics are about?

Drugs and demonic possesion, in "DARK FOIL" (our second album) we decided to bring a very "occult" approach to drugs, we beleive drugs open "portals" that allow acient evil beings to exist in our world using our bodies as a vessel.

5.You know some sludge band from south america?

I can't think of any right now...sorry dude.

6.Which is the discography from Dopethrone?

DEMONSMOKE in 2009 followed by DARK FOIL in 2011

7.Some member from the band have other project?

I was in a lot of crust/grind band that you probably never heard of with names like "EXCRETED COWBOY"... At the moment I got a accoustic bluegrass/blues project going on. My drummer plays in a band called DOWNTRODDEN and my bassist as a side project called KHLYST.

8.How is the sludge scene from your city/country? tell me some bands.

Well, there is DOWNTRODDEN, they have a sound that I would reffer to as the "NOLA" sound, also bands like SQUALOR, THE GREAT SABBATINI, STONED HORSES... People love real fucking heavy music up here but most of the heavy bands that play here are from the southern states.

9.Morbid future plans?

We are presently working on a 3rd album - get ready, it's gonna
heavier than a elephant drowning in a tar pool.

Blood I Bleed - Interview

1.Hey Rosco,what´s news in Blood I Bleed?

Hey Diego how are you? We finished recordings for the split 12'' with Lycanthrophy from Chech.rep. and now we try to find a date to mix the whole stuff so we can send it to the pressing-plant.And now we are at the end of our holydays , so soon we'll start to write new songs for some new things in the future.

2.Tell more about the existence of Blood I Bleed.

Well BIB started the same day when Mymindsmine ended . the first line-up was shantia(gt),bert(bs/vx)and henk (dr). And after a few years i joined them to do the vocals to complete the current line-up.

4.The influences which are?

The influences is the logical follow-up of the later grind/hardcore/ punk assault, which the later Mymindsmine stood for.That means the fastest hard- and grindcore around the globe , sometimes a very small touch of punk, rock and metal.

5.The lyrics are about?

Political , religious ,fascist , rascist ,media with egocentric an cruel ideologies in every kind of way.the list is endless.

6.How you see the actual grindcore scene around the world?

Over the years , times change , standarts change and to compare with the past is a big world of difference.In my oppinion of the actual grindcore scene can't call them 99% grindcore.

7.How is the grindcore scene in your city/country? tell me more about the bands,have grind zines?

F.U.B.A.R , KRU$H , Jesus Crost , Cliteater , Seein red , ASH , Grindbashers , Collision , Last Days of Humanity ,etc.etc,and to name a few old ones: Stanx , Blitzkrieg , My minds mine , Suppository , BGK , Lärm , people should check them out.
Ther were some grindzines , but everything has taken over by internet.

8.What you think about vivisection,animal cruelty?

Overture of torture , in the name of science. Millions of animals infected , injected , gassed in hidden labotories and research facilities all around the world.Still more animals are used for savety of cosmetics , household cleaners and other consumer products. Results from animal research cannot be applied to humans.In my oppinion scientists could save more human lives by using humane non-animal research and testing methods that are more efficient.

9.Your opinion about:

*HERESY.
*DISRUPT.
*INTENSE DEGREE.
*SIEGE.

Ha , what can i say about a few band-names in extreme music history which were very important to me in their time.Heresy , Siege , s.o.b. , Electro hippies . Deviated instinct , Doom , Disharge , X-creta, Skullcrusher , Voor , Hellhouse and a lot of others blew me away , great times i had when we traded tapes from the most obscure bands, awesome.

Zaherir - Entrevista

1.Saludos desde tierras peruanas Nico!,como te va?

Aquí pasando los días en casa compartiendo con mi gente.

2.Cuentanos como se formo Zaherir

Hace ya un tiempo estabamos con problemdas con infiel, nos costaba coordinarnos para ensayar. los materiales y grabaciones casi no se lograban.se aburrieron varios integrantes y la banda se disolvio, ahi decidimos los que quedamos a mediados del 2009, tratar de no cometer los mismos errores, hacer una banda donde fuesemos más responsables y lograr sacar material, y tocar, y hacer el ruido que tanto nos gusta, ahora con un ritmo un poco mas lento que infiel pero igual de molesto.

3.Con que material cuenta Zaherir?

Tenemos un EP, veraz aversión, que cuenta con 5 temas, editado por üden (era un "sello" casi ficticio, donde se hicieron muy pocas cosas y lo deje de lado por armar lo que ahora es IMP(impiedad metalpunkers) junto a varios de mis mejores amigxs), tambien editado por macaataka de ecuador, sello con el cual tuvimos unas diferencias y ya no hacemos cosas juntos, este ep tambien fue editado en cassette por MONORATA, y en cd-r por RIOTQUEER distro. grabamos hace unos meses 3 temas para un split junto a los DIOS HASTÍO,ahora estamos esperando a tener este material en nuestras manos. este es editado por CORROSION CEREBRAL RECORDS. uno de esos temas es parte de un compilado anticarcelario a beneficio de los presxs del 14 de agosto del 2010 (del montaje "caso bombas") ,

4.Cuales son sus principales influencias?

Musicalmente hacemos una mezcla entre hardcore,punk, metal, crust. todos tenemos distintos gustos y mezclamos esto para hacer Zaherir. a mi personalmente me gusta mucho lo que hace Amebix, Axegrinder, Antisect, Hellshock, Catharsis, Extreme Noise Terror, Nausea, Hellbastard.. uffffffffffff bueno es una larga lista ...


5.Cuentanos como es la escena grindcore/crust chilena.

Grind nunca compartimos mucho, solo un par de fechas, encontramos que es muy apolitica y ambigua eso no nos agrada.hay bandas muy buenas con las que compartimos fechas y amistad como Toke de keda, Morder, Matahero, La miseria de tu rostro, Devastar, Electrozombies, Disputa, Piromanos del ritmo, Sobras del descontento, Ciudad del kaos, Arrastradxs bajo un cielo, los crustaceos, acefalo... bueno y un monton de bandas mas, hay buena gente, se estan haciendo cosas como zines,programas radiales, ferias, exposiciones de grafica DIY, tocatas beneficas, las bandas estan preocupadas de sacar buen material tanto en sonido como arte. bueno esta todo bien movido.

6.Las letras de Zaherir sobre que hablan?

Blasfemias, odio, desorden & anarquía

7.Que paso con tu antigua banda INFIEL?

Uh!, ya lo conte en una pregunta anterior, se disolvio por desmotivacion yo creo de parte de todos al ver que nos costaba mucho hacer las cosas, aunque ahora en Zaherir somos casi los mismos integrantes. aveces tenemos problemas parecidos pero no al nivel de lo que fue Infiel, estamos haciendo temas seguido, tratando de sacar material, haciendo buenas grabaciones.. mas preocupados de perdurar en lo que nos gusta.

8.Vendran por Perú algun dia?

Por nosotros viajariamos siempe, planeamos visitar peru para el 2012, nos cuesta mucho hacer dinero ya que la mayoría de la banda no tenemos fuente de ingresos, pero ahi se vera como lo haremos, estamos en conversaciones con los amigos de sistemas de aniquilacion (delson!!!) y viendo cuando sería posible ir, ganas tenemos muchas, compartir con los amigos de autonomia con los que compartimos el ultimo material de infiel (y mejor), con dios hastío con los que tendremos el split prontisimo, con los mimos sistemas de aniquilacion que nos llevamos muy bien. y bueno varios amigos que tenemos de esas tierras que queremos mucho. y por motivos de distancia no vemos con frecuencia.

9.Novedades futuras?

El split con Dios Hastío, y tambien el split que pronto entraremos a grabar junto a HELLKRUSHER (leyendas crusties UK), luego de eso tenemos varias propuestas de splits o la idea de hacer un LP pero bueno . se vera en el camino todo.

1.Maniacos saludos Raul,como te encuentras?

DR MORBO: En la actualidad me encuentro muy bien lleno de energias y con una grabacion nueva de Christ snacks por
culminar este seria nuestro 5to demoy lo utilizaremos para un split cd pro con carne humana y exacerbacion de costa rica y la leyenda Agathocles, tambien me encuentro trabajando con el 2do cd de mibanda Atomik surfing, ya son 38 años los que tengo y mas de 20 apoyando brutalmente el sonido subterraneo espero seguir por muchos años mas!

2.Danos una breve bio sobre la fetida existencia de Christ Snacks?

DR MORBO: C.S. ES Defecado en 1992 integrado por Lionel "Olafo" Ulloa en las voces (mi compañero de zine Bloody Mortal GHouls), Omar "Balboa" Benavides en la bateria y mi persona
en la guitarra y bajo, en el 93 Lionel deja la banda y entra Hein Hobein a la guitarra y yo me paso a las voces de alli hasta 1997 grabamos un monton de demos y split tapes, aparecemos
en muchos zines y compilatorios alrededor del mundo logrando representar a nuestro pais en el movimiento under de musica grindnoise porno gore.

3.Porque Christ Snacks?

DR MORBO: es algo de sarcasmo referente a las ostias que dan en las misas catolicas, bocadillos de cristo es una burla como si una ostia te fuese a salvar de algo.

6.En que te inspiras al descomponer las letras? cierto Christ Snacks tiene aquellas?

DR MORBO: Me inspiran los periodicos de cronica roja, peliculas pornos, vivencias, anecdotas, alcohol, mujeres entre otras cosas.

7.Cuentanos como eran esas epocas de jodido grindcore y podrido gore en los 90s en Panamá.

DR MORBO: los 90 fue una gran epoca Panama era un pais bastante bueno para vivir no la mierda en que se ha convertido ahora.eramos pocos los que andabamos en el grindcore y el gore solo eramos ALambre de Puas, Virulencia, Jefe de la Morgue, Carnivoro, Castrador,Psicosis, Fuego Uterino, Abomination, eramos casi la misma gente en las bandas que te menciones, grabamos muchos demos y rehearsal y dimos la cara por nuestro pais representando el sonido tormentoso y lacerante del Istmo de Panama.

8.Como encuentras a la escena extrema hoy en dia? mejorada? o hasta el pincho?

DR MORBO: En la actualidad de las bandas nuevas muy pocas me llaman la atencion, esos sonidos nuevos para nada me gustan no hay una actitud autentica detras de estas nuevas corrientes musicales que al igual que el grunge, alternative, nu metal , rapcore pasaran a mejor vida pronto,yo pienso que la facilidad con las que se dan las cosas (internet, tecnologia) han matado el verdadero espiritu de la hermandad subterranea de la musica.
somos pocos los que quedamos venerando los zines impresos, tapes, viniles, el intercambio de musica por cartas eso era autentico y lleno de calor humano!

9.Que bandas de tus pais dentro de la música extrema nos recomendarias?

DR MORBO: en Panama no hay casi nada que recomendar tan solo Equinoxio, Sargon (que ahora radican en USA) y Antagonized q son las unicas 3bandas que se preocupan por hacer algo serio.

10.Que aberrantes planes tiene para este futuro incierto Christ Snacks?

DR MORBO: Si es incierto o no el futuro nos vale mierda, pero bueno si tenemos planes de grabar varios split tapes, cdrs ,
tracks para compilationssacar el split con carne humana, exacerbacion y agathocles y quien sabe si algun dia sonemos en vivo.........
